Socially engaged designer living in Ljubljana. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana with a BA in Visual Communication and went on to study for a Masters in Design Futures at Goldsmiths University in London. During her practice, she has worked with a number of self-organising collectives such as G-R-U-P-A, a group of transformation-driven designers, architects and craftspeople, and Trapez, a group at the intersection of design and cooking. Over the past few years, she has focused on research-based projects exploring ways of discourse and practice around invasive species issues, and since 2017 she has continued her environmental and social work as co-founder of the Trajna Association. Together with Andrej Koruza, they are creating projects such as Notweed Paper, a novel paper made from invasive plants, and Crater, a post-apocalyptic co-production space. As designers, they are also involved in the Applause project, which addresses unresolved issues related to alien invasive plant species from a zero-waste perspective and the circular economy.<\/p>

The Collection of Travelling Plants<\/em> illustrated series paints a fascinating narrative about the import of invasive plant species into Europe. Through botanical collages, it provides an opportunity to tell rich stories and observe the current thriving environments. The artwork is created by screen printing on Japanese knotty hemp paper, commonly used to make herbariums in wood presses.<\/p>
