On 28th September, the first part of the TRANSMAT \u2013 \u201cAs-Built\u201d kick-off meeting took place at MODEM, marking an important milestone in our collaboration with FABER Timi\u0219oara within the Interreg VI-A Romania\u2013Hungary Programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was opened with welcoming remarks by Dr. Istv\u00e1n Pusk\u00e1s, Vice-Mayor responsible for cultural affairs of the Municipality of Debrecen, followed by Kata Vizi, Director of MODEM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, Oana Simionescu, Director of FABER, introduced their independent cultural centre and its role in the project, while researcher Norbert Petrovici outlined the research approach behind TRANSMAT \u2013 As-Built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day set the scene for the project\u2019s next steps and for a shared exploration of construction, materials, infrastructure and their wider social, environmental and economic contexts across Debrecen and Timi\u0219oara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We look forward to continuing the work together and to the next stages of the project!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
