Born in Pécs in 1949, the artist lived and worked in Nuremberg and Budapest. His work ranges from small sculptures and drawings to asamblages, sculptures, installations and large-scale projects, which have won him international recognition. Botond’s works convey an intense experience of transience and raise critical questions of civilisation. Experimentation with materials and techniques gives his work its distinctive sensual quality and formal diversity.
