Circular Ruins. The Walls of Lili Ország

2013. Aug. 18. - 2014. Jan. 19.

Lili Ország (Ungvár, 8 August 1926 – Budapest, 1 October 1978) is unique in twentieth-century Hungarian art with her peculiar private mythology. The MODEM has undertaken to present this solitary career, which is feminine and has Jewish roots. The exhibition brought together works from all the artist’s major periods from Hungarian public and private collections, giving visitors a comprehensive view of this outstanding and mysterious oeuvre, rarely seen in its entirety.
