The unusual nude photographs published under the title Distortions by André Kertész, who was of Hungarian origin, are defining works of modern art. The photographs, taken in 1933, are owned by the French state. The 50-piece collection, compiled by the Jeu de Paume gallery in Paris, was exhibited for the first time in Hungary more than seven decades after the photos were taken.
