The concept of the exhibition of the Antal-Lusztig collection was the same as the previous one of the identical title. Once again, we invited contemporary artists to choose a work or to allow us to juxtapose one of their works with a piece from the collection. The resulting pairings are based on common or related thinking, motifs or similarities, direct inspiration, paraphrase or reflection, or even curatorial juxtaposition.

This paperclip arrangement encourages the viewer to playfully experience the work by looking for similarities and differences in the juxtaposed works. The study of the pairs of works is a kind of time travel, juxtaposing eras, periods and their artists. No one can step out of their own time, everyone symbolically or concretely represents the thinking and world view of the time in which they were born, and their artistic means and approaches derive from it. The viewer has the opportunity to compare these characteristics, but also to experience the factors that do not change. The direct reflections focus on and magnify a particular feature of the work as a point of departure, while other qualities are relegated to the background.

The main aim of the exhibition was to bring the viewer closer to the individual pieces in the collection, to convey their message through visual, literary, musical and dance means.
