Genesis-project
2010. Mar. 12. - 2010. Jun. 20.
The works address issues of birth and death, as well as eternal transformation and the biological cycle. A striking feature of the works is the unconventional use of materials: black silicone layered on concrete and metal surfaces, creating a distinctive surface pattern. A silicon-based, industrial material that is a standard feature of construction projects. This is no accident. For the young Transylvanian artist is not building in a purely metaphorical sense: he has to pour the concrete slabs that form the basis for his works, work the aluminium panels that provide the background for his graphic drawings with various grinding and milling tools, and mechanically fix the tensioning wire ropes. In other words, he has to work with the planning of a craftsman and the energy of a manual worker, while letting his artistic instincts run wild in the most earthbound tools and materials.
