Spread-Out Landscape. Retrospective Exhibition of Imre Bukta

2007. Dec. 14. - 2008. Feb. 24.

Imre Bukta’s first retrospective exhibition allowed us to follow the artist’s career spanning more than thirty years. The works were grouped by genre within the exhibition space: paintings, graphics, (rebuilt, reconstructed) installations, and video works. The most important connection between the genres is the theme of rurality, the artistic problematization of the relationship between man and landscape. The reconstructed installations, most of which have not been seen in Hungary before, are unique, as are the works created in the 1980s, which were banned at the time.
