Hungarian spa life. Selection from the Völgyi-Skonda contemporary collection

2011. Jun. 17. - 2011. Aug. 28.

The exhibition of selected material from the collections of Miklós Völgyi and Mária Skonda is organised around the theme of the famous and long-standing Hungarian bathing life. “With the choice of the theme, we would like to consciously combine one of Hungary’s outstanding treasures, the bathing culture, with contemporary artistic values” (Miklós Völgyi, Mária Skonda). The contemporary artists sought out by the collecting couple worked on the given theme in their own style and formal language, with bathing life as their common point.
