TRANSMAT: As-Built, a partnership between MODEM x FABER, offers a further development of the Design Signals program, which connects Debrecen (Hungary) and Timișoara (Romania) through contemporary art, design, and creative cooperation.
This open call gives artists, designers, and architects the opportunity to investigate the construction and building materials industry across Romania and Hungary — not just as a simple execution of plans, but as a complex negotiation of materials, labour, policy, and infrastructure.
